Mihyun Lee
Single Class Teacher
Class Description
The facilitator focuses on researching the interconnectedness of Function and Expression in dance relationships by providing Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analysis education. Contact Improvisation is a relational dance that involves physical, emotional, or both. Dancing with an unknown person without clear expectations or structure can be both risky and adventurous. Achieving a mutually satisfying experience requires skills in adaptation, attunement, and heightened awareness of internal and external stimuli, as well as of one's tendencies and preferences. The facilitator hopes that the research can provide insight into how to navigate one's relationships with oneself and others, whether in a personal or dance relationship.
