west coast contact improvisation JAM
Chris Cahoon
Single Class Teacher
Class Description
In this class, we will consider a 360 degree orientation of our body in relation to gravity, time, and other bodies. We will move through the impulse to stay upright and front facing, and open possibilities to lead with our backspace and dance with our heads below our center. What discoveries arise when a spherical body can move in any direction? We will observe our reflexes, expand the present moment, and prepare to not have a plan. The class will build from solo explorations to partner puzzles into open play.
