Jeffrey Balinsky & Leslie Castellano

Dancing with Size Differences with Jeffrey & Leslie
Jeffrey Balinsky (Large) Co-Teaching with Leslie Castellano (Small). This class seeks to disrupt preconceived notions around size and reciprocation by offering skills, strategies, and pathways for navigating and utilizing size differences within a dance. In Contact Improvisation every combination of moving bodies provides unique opportunities. With the right mental frame searching these possibilities can be fascinating, joyous, and humbling. We will practice weight sharing, using space, and maintaining collaborative volition while questioning and provoking playful explorations of "normal roles".

Yogic practices and understandings delivered utilizing Neuro Linguistic Programming.
Arrive at 3pm for Soundscapes. Expect resting in progress, enter with care. For the remainder of the time I will provide a more non-linear form of nap facilitation. I will play some instruments, primarily my set of Tibetan brass singing bowls, and I will offer a few verbal suggestions.
